Whadda Biraki!

Sunday the 12th the we held our fourth annual Kagami Biraki training session and pot-luck. We were honored to have our own Jo Takehara and the world traveling Marsha Turner, who squeezed us in between Asia and Europe, lead the training. Turner Sensei started class with a brisk warmup and then focused on precise foot work. She shared tips how to check for problems in your footwork while you are performing technique. Takehara Sensei discussed connection and how it works on a cellular level. Guests came from all over the Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, DeKalb region. After training most people stayed for food and refreshments in the common room of the JASC. Those who stayed until the end got togo bags for the grub we all couldn’t possibly finish in one sitting.
