Tasaka Sensei began studying Aikido in 1972, at the age of 15 in the Aikido Kumano Juku Dojo, the dojo of the late Hikitsuchi Michio Sensei, 10th dan.  In 1978, he accompanied Hikitsuchi Sensei on his American tour.  Since 1996, he has been one of the main teachers of the Aikido Kumano Juku Dojo in Shingu, Japan.

Starting in 1997, Tasaka Sensei began writing a series of three books, Wako, concerning Hikitsuchi Sensei’s teachings and memories.  In 1998, Tasaka Sensei received his 6th dan in Aikido and 5th dan in Aikibojitsu from Hikitsuchi Sensei.

Since 2002, Tasaka Sensei has taught seminars in France, Switzerland and the United States.  Please join Tasaka Sensei for a three-day seminar in Wales, Wisconsin.
