On Friday September 7th Dwight and David drove up to be part of the grand opening class at the new home of Aikido of West Bend. Nicole and Eric Novak moved their dojo to the local YMCA sports complex. Plush locker rooms and showers, work out rooms and a pool. The dojo occupies a racquet ball court. Pristine white walls that seem to go up for ever. With more than twenty people in the room the clap in was like thunder when it echoed off the walls and the universe. Novak Sensei reviewed much of what he has been picking up from Ikeda Sensei in preparation for Ikeda Sensei’s upcoming seminar. After training many of us went out to eat, laugh and have a good time. At dinner the Novak’s students gave them some thoughtful and some funny gifts. At trip up to West Bend to train is highly recommended.
