The Chicago Aikido Club is a nonprofit group dedicated to the free and creative exploration of Aikido in all its aspects – martial, physical and spiritual. Open to students of all styles, ranks and levels of experience.
Each class, members representing a diverse range of ages, personalities and attitudes meet to further their study of the art. Training is seen as an opportunity to exercise the body, learn new techniques and experience the possibilities of a centered mind.
Senior students regularly provide instruction at CAC , who lead classes by demonstrating techniques and exercises.
The CAC participates in elderly and youth community building activities outside of martial arts training. Donating money and personnel to at risk youth programs, organizing community events, supporting local performing arts as well as other social activities.
